About The Cake Box
Located in Ashton-under-Lyne town centre, The Cake Box is an eggless cake shop trading from 65 Oldham Road, Ashton-under-lyne, OL6 7DF. Everything on the cake counter is made without eggs, which makes it a go-to for vegetarian celebrations and many families of South Asian heritage. It is one of 248 Cake Box locations we list across the UK.
We do not hold confirmed hours for this particular branch – station and shopping-centre branches often open earlier and close later than high-street ones. The Food Standards Agency register lists a hygiene rating of 5/5, awarded on 4 June 2025 by Tameside.
The nearest public transport is Ashton-under-Lyne station, about 6 minutes away on foot (0.3 mi). It is not the only option nearby: there are 5 more bakeries within a kilometre, so a bakery crawl is easily done.
